Got the Mini; what about the Cooper?

This was a point made to one of our team members about the name of these great cars. In fact, Cooper refers to the Cooper Car Company. After being an apprentice toolmaker, John Cooper served as an instrument maker in the Royal Air Force during World War II. Together with his father Charles, already a garage owner specializing in the maintenance of racing cars, these famous auto racing pioneers formed the Cooper Car Company in 1948. They created single-seat racing cars for private drivers. Designs featured their then unheard of rear engine chassis design.

So, that’s the Cooper. By the way, if your Mini-Cooper is ever in need of repair, our Independent Auto Care professionals are as committed to excellence of work as the Coopers were themselves!
